FOLLOWING from a successful preview of his debut show in Cardrona before Christmas 2022, a Borders comedian is set to bring his show to this year’s Fringe.
Now living in London, Richard Cobb grew up in West Linton, and Borders life is one of many influences on his show.
Cobb’s Cardrona preview show titled Couple’s Massage, was a sold-out success, and his offering in Edinburgh next month is set to be just as popular.
Although he has performed sold-out shows at the Fringe in the past, Couple’s Massage will mark Cobb’s first solo debut.
He said: “A lot of it [the show] is based on the experiences of growing up.
“A lot of humourous tales of growing up, family holidays and stuff, in and around the Scottish Borders.”

The show also includes stories of Cobb’s failed get-rich-quick schemes, the four book which he wrote and released recalling fond memories of growing up in the Borders in the 90s, his life-changing family holidays, and the ups and downs of rollercoaster teenage years.
Richard Cobb’s Couple’s Massage will take to the Laughing Horse stage at The City Café at 7.25pm on August 3-27 (except for August 14 and 22).
Tickets are available on a pay what you can basis, ranging from £2.50 to £10, or there are free tickets available.
