A 70-year-old man has been taken to hospital following a crash on the A72 near Innerleithen this morning Wednesday August 2.
Emergency services rushed to the scene around 6.40am following the report of a collision between a van and a moped.
Traffic was disrupted in both directions whilst officers dealt with the incident.
Officers say that the injured party had been driving the moped.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 6.40am on Wednesday, 2 August, 2023, we were called to a report of a crash involving a van and a moped on the A72 near Innerleithen.
"A 70-year-old man, the driver of the moped, was taken to Borders General Hospital."
