EMERGENCY services are currently at the scene of a crash on Tweed Green Peebles at the junction with Tweed Brae.
Four police cars and an ambulance are in attendance.
The road is blocked to traffic and the scene is cordoned off.
UPDATE 1.30pm
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 0926hrs this morning (09 August) to attend a road traffic collision in Tweed Green, Peebles.
We dispatched an ambulance to the scene and the female patient was transported to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.30am on Wednesday, 9 August, 2023, police were called to the Innerleithen Road area of Peebles, following a report of a crash involving a car and a female pedestrian.
"The woman was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.”
