OPERA Bohemia, Scotland’s professional touring company, returns to MacArts with John Leo Wilkie’s acclaimed chamber production of Puccini’s masterpiece, Madama Butterfly.
A star cast is led by Scottish soprano Catriona Clark, a favourite with Opera Bohemia audiences and already highly acclaimed in the role of Cio-Cio-San.
Other cast members include former Scottish Opera Emerging Artist Louise Collett, Alexander Gibson, Opera School graduates Cameron Mitchell and Seumas Begg, and American baritone Whitaker Mills, who recently made his Metropolitan Opera debut.

This tale of love, sacrifice and heartbreak promises to be a memorable night for opera lovers and newcomers alike.
The production is performed in a special arrangement for piano (Andrew Brown) and violin (Colm O Braoin) and sung in Italian with English surtitles. Running time approximately 2 hours including interval.
