BORDERS politicians MP John Lamont and MSP Rachael Hamilton have thanked the hundreds of Borders residents who came to their summer surgery tour this year.
The Conservative Party duo held advice surgeries at more than 80 locations, including in Gala, Kelso, Hawick, Eyemouth, Melrose, Lauder, Selkirk, Tweedbank, Coldstream, Newcastleton, Jedburgh and dozens of villages across the Borders.

The pair hold advice surgeries all year round across the Borders, but always look forward to their summer tour when the UK and Scottish parliaments are in recess.
They say that the advice surgeries provide an opportunity for local people to discuss any issue and receive help for any problems they may be facing.
Ms Hamilton, said: “Thank you to everyone who came to speak with us during the surgery tour.
“This year we met hundreds of Borders residents who needed help with issues such as accessing NHS services, getting potholes repaired on our streets, and improving broadband connectivity.

“Our teams work hard to help find a solution to whatever problem people may be facing. It is always a privilege to assist Borders residents.
“If anyone requires further assistance, please don’t hesitate to give my office a call and we will do whatever we can to help.”
Mr Lamont, said: “As your MP and MSP, we know how important it is to be accountable and accessible to our constituents. Since I was first elected to represent the Borders in 2007, the surgery tour has been a highlight of my year.
“These advice surgeries are an opportunity for us to hear your concerns, listen to any issues you may have, and gain valuable insight into what matters to Borders residents.
“All year round, our job is to serve you by making sure the Borders is the best possible place to live and work.

“If you didn’t manage to come along to meet us, there will be many other chances as we hold surgeries on a regular basis all over the Borders.
“Please contact my office who will be happy to arrange a meeting at the earliest possible date.”
