POLICE in the Scottish Borders have issues an appeal for witnesses following an attempted housebreaking in Hawick.
The incident took place shortly at 2.47am on Saturday August 12.

An attempt was made to force entry to a shop on Buccleuch Terrace.
The suspect was seen to run off toward the town’s High Street.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “If anyone has information that could assist with enquiries, please call 101 and quote incident 610 on the 12th of August.”
