EMERGENCY services were called to the scene of a two vehicle crash shortly before 4pm this afternoon Tuesday August 15.
The crash took place near the turn-off for Ashkirk.
The road is currently closed according to police and officers have been diverting traffic.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.55pm on Tuesday (August 15th), we were called to a report of a crash involving two vehicles on the A7 near Ashkirk.
“Emergency services are in attendance and the road is currently closed.”
Unconfirmed reports suggest an air ambulance has landed at the scene.
Other unconfirmed reports suggest more than two vehicles involved.
