The A7 was closed for more than 10-hours yesterday Tuesday August 15 following a serious crash.
Emergency services including an air ambulance were called to the scene near the turn-off for Ashkirk shortly before 4pm.

The road was closed and diversions were put in place.
Around 5pm a Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.55pm on Tuesday, 15 August, 2023, we were called to a report of a crash involving two vehicles on the A7 near Ashkirk.
“Emergency services are in attendance and the road is currently closed.”

The road remained closed throughout the evening and Traffic Scotland reported that it had reopened at 2.54am
Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service have been approached and an update is anticipated later today.
