YOUNG dancers welcomed a packed audience to their sold-out Edinburgh Fringe show this month.
Dancers from the Fiona Henderson School of Dance (FHSD) returned to the Fringe stage with their specially choreographed show, Origins.
The one-off spectacle was performed at the SpaceUK and featured 22 senior dancers from FHSD.
School principal Fiona Henderson said: “Our audience was absolutely delighted with their show.
“Each of our pupils really stepped up to the unique ‘Senior Summer Intensive’ challenge and put on a wonderful performance to an incredibly high level.
“It is even more remarkable that the show was prepared from start to finish in only five days.
“We hope all our star performers had a wonderful experience being part of the whole Edinburgh Fringe experience.”
Origins featured a number of dance genres, including highland, ballet, commercial, jazz, tap, lyrical and contemporary.
The show received a rapturous response from the audience.
Origins was taught to pupils in the five days leading up to the performance.
After the show, audience members described it as “fantastic”, “fabulous”, “awesome”, and one said they “absolutely loved it”.
The performers who took part in Origins: Aaron Prady, Beth Lapsley, Beth McNamara, Daisy Brown, Ella Scott-Bruce, Emma Sharp, Erica Munnis, Grace Clark, Heather Whelan, Heidi Allen, Holly Fraser, Jess Allen, Jess Mackenzie, Karyna Moryeva, Kirsty Collier, Lara Little, Leah O’Donohoe, Lucy Watts, Mollie Keay, Nina McDowell, Rebecca Spence, Rosie Spence
