EMERGENCY services were called to the scene of a three vehicle crash on the A68 earlier this afternoon.
Police were alerted to the collision at Fala south of Pathead around 4pm.
Traffic built back in both directions before the road was finally cleared at 5pm.
Officers subsequently charged one person with an unspecified road traffic offence.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4pm on Wednesday, 6 September, 2023, police received a report of a three-vehicle crash on the A68 Fala Road, in the Pathhead area.
“The road was cleared by 5pm and one motorist was charged in connection with a road traffic offence.”
