Ciaran told the Border Telegraph: “I’m happy with the award but it’s more about the team winning for me. And we are on a good run with three wins on the bounce although we have a tough game coming up against Cowdenbeath at Central Park on Saturday.
“The award was for the game against the University of Stirling who are a very good side and we kept a clean sheet.

“It helps playing alongside good players and Callum (Ferguson) has fitted right in.
“I’m really enjoying my football at Gala because the way play gives me lots of the ball at the back. And it’s good to have another Gala lad Sam (Ostle) in the team. He’s been doing well and scored a few goals for us.”
Gala boss Martin Scott said: "It's really good individual recognition for Ciaran and I've been delighted with his form this season. He's been an ever present and always gives 100% for the team which is to his credit."
