THE sun shone in the Yarrow Valley on Saturday as the area celebrated the 101st Yarrow and Ettrick Show.

The wonderful day was enjoyed by all – especially all the trophy winners.

A spokesperson from the show said: "The sun shone and we had the most incredible day for our 101st show, with record horse entries and an excellent show of sheep.

"Attendance was very good with people enjoying a lovely day out , with children’s entertainment, Hawick Scout pipe band and a very popular dog show – we even had an RAF fly past.

"We would like to thank everyone who came along and supported us including our regular sponsors, trade stands and craft who also enjoyed a busy day.

"Looking forward to next year!"
