The C77 road which runs between Galashiels and Lauder will be closed for five days from Monday September 18 to facilitate embankment works.
The closure at Glendearg will be between between 7am and 4pm each day.

The closure was announced by Scottish Borders Council who said: “Where we're required to carry out planned maintenance on the road and bridge network, there may not always be enough space to allow a safe working area as well as allow vehicles through the works.
“Where this is the case a road closure is the only appropriate solution to address both traffic and pedestrian management.

The alternative route is via the C77, B6347, B6360, A68 and C77 to point of closure.
