A BUSY Borders road is set to close for five days this week starting tomorrow, Monday September 25, to facilitate resurfacing work.
The A72 will close at Edston Quarry near Peebles.
The work will be carried out between 8.30am and 5pm each day.

The alternative route is via the A72, A701, A703 and A72 to the point of closure.
The closure was announced by Scottish Borders Council who said: “Where we're required to carry out planned maintenance on the road and bridge network, there may not always be enough space to allow a safe working area as well as allow vehicles through the works.

"Where this is the case a road closure is the only appropriate solution to address both traffic and pedestrian management.
“For further information on road works area please call 0300 100 1800.”
