A BORDERS road is set to close for seven days starting this morning Wednesday September 27 to facilitate resurfacing work
The A707 road which runs between Selkirk and Covenfords will close at Caddonfoot to Fairnilee between 8.30am – 5pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week and from Monday October 2 for four days.
The alternative route is via A707, A72, A7, B7014 and A707 to point of closure.

The closure was announced by Scottish Borders Council who said: “Where we're required to carry out planned maintenance on the road and bridge network, there may not always be enough space to allow a safe working area as well as allow vehicles through the works.

"Where this is the case a road closure is the only appropriate solution to address both traffic and pedestrian management.
