POLICE in the Scottish Borders will be targeting dangerous and inconsiderate parking by issuing tickets in a bid to find a long-term solution to a problem in Eyemouth.
Officers have received numerous complaints regarding parking issues at Harbour Road and Manse Road in the town.

Community Policing officers are now working with partner agencies and local businesses regarding a long-term solution.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Parking enforcement by way of parking tickets will be carried out in the future.

“We will be prioritising dangerous and inconsiderate parking, double yellow line offences and ensuring dropped kerbs are clear to ensure persons with restricted mobility are safe.”
A meeting with Police Scotland, Scottish Borders Council, Harbour Users Group (HUG), the Harbour Trust and local businesses will be taking place in the near future to discuss and identify a solution to the matter.
