MELROSE Sevens have announced the launch of the ‘Doddie Club’ - an exciting new hospitality venue for the 2024 event.
Doddie Weir was a much loved figure at Melrose Sevens tournaments, making a number of appearances for his home team Melrose and as part of the guest side, The Co-Optimists, he lifted the winners’ trophy in 1993.

The ‘Doddie Club’ will provide a space for all to enjoy the buzz of the tournament, as well as providing a fantastic view point for this rugby spectacle.
Throughout the day guests will be joined by legends of the rugby world who will share their favourite memories of Scotland and Melrose’s much loved and much missed Gentle Giant.
As Doddie once said - “When life gives you lemons, pop them into a large G&T…”
