A HIGH-VALUE bike has been stolen from a shed in the Borders, police say.
Officers are appealing for information after a high-value ebike was taken from a garden shed in Denholm in the early hours of yesterday morning (Monday, October 2).
The 'Specialized Turbo Levo Pro' bike, which is worth a five-figure sum of money, was reportedly taken at around 1am.
The suspects are believed to have driven away from the area in a blue Audi towards Jedburgh.
Detective Constable Ashley Black said: “The suspects have clearly targeted this property, knowing there was a high-value item in the shed, and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
“We are appealing to anyone in the Denholm area who noticed any suspicious activity leading up to the theft to please pass this information on to police.
“We would also urge any motorists with dash-cams who were in the area in the early hours of Monday morning to check their footage in case they have captured a blue Audi or anything else which could be of significance.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0194 of Monday, 2 October, 2023. Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
