The damage was caused following a period of heavy rainfall, according to road maintenance and management firm BEAR Scotland.
Emergency scour remediation was required, with the works winning the Best Small Project 2023 at this year's Scottish Civil Engineering (SCE) Awards.
BEAR Scotland led the development on behalf of Transport Scotland.
Its submission was recognised for the speed within which the project was completed and the 'dynamic, risk-based approach' to managing the emergency works.
