THREE people were taken to hospital following a crash in the Scottish Borders yesterday afternoon (Wednesday October 4)
Emergency services were called to the scene of a two vehicle collision on the B6438 road north of Reston at 4.25pm.

The road was closed for almost seven hours to facilitate recovery of the vehicles and an investigation into the cause.
The road reopened around 11.15pm.
The condition of the injured parties has not been released.

A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 16:22 on Wednesday 4 October 2023 to attend a two-car road traffic collision on the B6348.
"Three ambulances were dispatched to the scene. Three patients were transported to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.25pm on Wednesday, 4 October, 2023, police were called to the B6438 north of Reston, following a report of a two car crash.
“The road was reopened by around 11.15pm.”
UPDATE: It was initially reported that two people had been taken to hospital and a third treated at the scene however this information has now been updated by the Scottish Ambulance Service in their statement.
