BBC Scotland are running a free workshop at MacArts in Galashiels on Tuesday October 10 from 7-9pm.
The event allows people will find out more about BBC The Social, how to apply to work with them, as well as some tips about making good social media content.
BBC The Social is an on-screen talent development platform from BBC Scotland, creating content for young people by young people, with a focus on local.

They are currently seeking six young creators from across Scotland (18+) to make content with them, with opportunities to collaborate with other parts of BBC Scotland such as Sport, News, and Radio.
Previous contributors for The Social have gone on to present on the BBC Scotland channel in shows such as Eat the Town and Roaming in the Wild, and to have their content published on BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds.

This is a paid opportunity, with content published across BBC The Social’s social media platforms.
The young creators chosen to work with the Social will also receive a week’s paid Masterclass learning opportunity at BBC Pacific Quay in November.
