POLICE in the Scottish Borders have arrested and charged two men with drug offences following a raid on the former Buccleuch Hotel in Hawick.
The raid took place around 9.40am on Thursday October 5 at the building in Trinity Street.

It was sealed off with police tape for much of the day, with several police vehicles parked outside.
Officers say that the men aged 30 and 40 are due to appear in Selkirk Sheriff Court today Friday October 6 and that their enquiries are continuing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 9.40am on Thursday, October 5, officers executed a warrant at a building on Trinity Street in Hawick.
“Two men, aged 30 and 40, have been arrested and charged in connection with drug offences and are due to appear at Selkirk Sheriff Court on Friday, October 6, 2023.”
