A 42-YEAR-OLD man has admitted assaulting a 16-year-old girl during a car journey between Lauder and Stow.
Neil Todd, from Newtown St Boswells, repeatedly seized the teenager by the body, threw food at her and struck her on the head to her injury on the B6362 road on June 9.
He also pleaded guilty to repeatedly seizing the steering wheel of the vehicle while it was moving – causing the driver to swerve – and attempting to exit by opening the passenger door to the danger of everyone there.
Sentence has been deferred at Selkirk Sheriff Court until October 30 for a personal appearance.
