THE FIRST of two Big Fab Comedy Shows is coming to the Volunteer Hall in Galashiels on October 27.

Presented by Gilded Balloon, the show will be headlined by Catherine Bohart, and feature some of the UK’s most popular TV alongside some rising for a night jam-packed with top-tier comedy and guaranteed laughs

Irish comedian Bohart is a regular on TV’s top comedy shows including 8 Out of 10 Cats, Mock the Week, A League of Their Own and many more.

She said: I can’t wait to tour Scotland with this amazing group of comics! Scottish and Irish people share a sense of humour and I’m excited to find out how alike our country roads are. I hope this will be a start to bringing live comedy beyond Edinburgh and Scotland with more regularity!"

She will be joined by 21-year-old up-and-coming Scottish comedian Liam Farrelly from Paisley, who started performing stand-up aged 17 whilst still in High School and recently appeared on BBC’s Live at the Apollo.

He said: "I’ve never done a gig in Galashiels before so really looking forward to that. It’s great line up of comedians with lots of different styles, so they’ll be some great shows, I’m really looking forward to watching and performing in them.’

Also appearing will be multi award-winning Scottish comedian Rosco McClelland who will present his latest collection of works.

He said: "I‘ve been looking forward to this for a while. I know everyone on the bill, so I know it will be start to finish top quality stuff.

Another award-winning comedian, skilled actor, an experienced writer and dynamic presenter best known for her fiercely commanding stage persona and razor sharp wit, Thanyia Moore and star of BBC’s Scot Squad and award winning comedian, Chris Forbes complete the cast.
