A 56-year-old motorcyclist died following a single vehicle crash on the A702 yesterday Sunday October 15.
Emergency services were called to the scene just south of Silverburn shortly after 4pm.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene and the road was closed for seven hours to facilitate an investigation.

The man has not been named but his family have been informed.
A report is being prepared for the Procurator Fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4.15 pm on Sunday, 15 October 2023, police and emergency services were called to a single vehicle road crash, involving a motorcycle, on the A702 south of Silverburn.

"Emergency services attended however the 56-year-old rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
“His family are aware, and a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.
"The road was closed for around seven hours to allow investigations to be carried out.”
A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We received a call at 16:15 on Sunday, 15 October to attend an incident on the A702, Biggar Road.
"Two ambulances, two special operations response teams (SORT) and a trauma team were dispatched to the scene.”
