A MAN has been jailed for 20 years after abducting a schoolgirl in the Borders.
Andrew Miller, also known as Amy George, was sentenced this morning at the High Court in Edinburgh.
In February of this year 53-year-old Miller offered the young girl a lift home, however, he instead drove her to his home in Gattonside where he locked her in a bedroom, refused to let her leave and subjected her to a series of sexual assaults over the course of a day.
As well as the 20-year jail term, Miller will also be supervised for eight years upon his release from prison.
The court had earlier heard that Miller is in the process of transitioning.
