SOME disruption is likely for motorists in the Scottish Borders next week.
LEITHEN Road in Innerleithen will be closed for five days next week to facilitate patching works.

The work will be carried out between 9am and 3pm from Monday October 23 to Friday October 27.
The alternative route is via the B709, A7, B710, A72 and B709 to the point of closure.

The closure was announced by Scottish Borders Council who said: “Where we're required to carry out planned maintenance on the road and bridge network, there may not always be enough space to allow a safe working area as well as allow vehicles through the works.
"Where this is the case a road closure is the only appropriate solution to address both traffic and pedestrian management.
“For further information on road works area please call 0300 100 1800.”
