DRIVERS using the A1 today Tuesday October 24 are being advised to allow a little extra time for their journey due to temporary traffic lights being deployed on the road.

The lights will affect both northbound and southbound traffic from the Ayton junction to the B6438 at Reston.

The purpose of the lights is to facilitate carriageway patching on the road.
The work which will be carried out in one day will commence at 9.30am and conclude at 3.30pm.
