THE MET office have amended the current yellow weather warning for rain affecting the region.
The previous warning covered large parts of the Borders and was due to end at 11.59pm on Monday October 30 2023.
The new updated warning has extended the area to include the north east of Scotland down to the north east of England and now covers the whole of the Borders. (See Map)

The Met Office said that further heavy rain could bring some disruption to parts of Central and Eastern Scotland and northeast England.
There is a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses

Homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings
Fast flowing or deep floodwater is possible, causing a danger to life
Delays or cancellations to train and bus services are possible
