THE community of Galashiels turned out in their numbers once again to mark Remembrance Sunday.
The procession left the town’s branch of the Royal British Legion Scotland at 12.20pm and paraded towards the War Memorial.
At the memorial, the service began with the hymn ‘O God Our Help in Ages Past’.
The proceedings were led by Reverend Graeme Glover from Galashiels Church of Scotland.
The town then observed an impeccable two-minute silence.
Wreaths were laid at the memorial, then Galashiels Town Band played the national anthem.
