POLICE in the Scottish Borders have launched an investigation following deliberate damage to tyres on an industrial vehicle parked in a layby around one mile south of Selkirk on the A7.
The incident took place prior to 8.45am on Tuesday November 14.
The vehicle was due to transport wind farm turbine blades to Pines Burn Wind Farm near Hawick.

The damage meant that the delivery was delayed for three days.
The transportation is due to resume on Friday November 17.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0576 of Tuesday, November 14, 2023.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.45am on Tuesday, 14 November, we received a report of tyres on industrial vehicles being damaged when parked in a layby on the A7 around a mile south of Selkirk.
“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0576 of Tuesday, 14 November, 2023.”
