A GIRL and a horse were "uninjured" after being struck by a car on Sunday afternoon, Police say.
Officers are appealing for information after a 17-year-old rider and her horse were struck on the B6355 between Ayton and Eyemouth at around 2.20pm on Sunday, November 19.
The girl and horse were hit when a silver Ford Fiesta attempted to overtake them on the road.
PC Adam McCluskie of Duns Police Station said: “Luckily, the girl and the horse were uninjured, but enquiries are ongoing to trace the vehicle and driver.
“The silver Ford Fiesta had its passenger-side mirror damaged, and I would urge the driver to contact us.
“The driver of a Mercedes Benz assisted the rider after the incident, and I would ask them to contact us as they may have information that will help our enquiry.
“Any witnesses or anyone with information should contact officers through 101 quoting reference number 1954 of 19 November.”
