POLICE in the Scottish Borders are advising pedestrians on rural roads to wear something bright and reflective in dark weather.
A spokesperson said: “Since the clocks went back, the days are getting darker.
“The dark weather can make you a little tricky to see, especially when walking on unlit rural roads.

“Wear something bright and reflective so people can see you.
“If you are wearing a bag, consider attaching a light.

“Take a torch when out walking and make sure it has a charge and you have spare batteries.”
