POLICE in the Scottish Borders are appealing for assistance in tracing a 35-year-old woman who has been reported missing from Selkirk.

Nikitta James was last in contact with family about 4am this morning  Monday November 27  2023 and was believed to be in the Selkirk area. Her current whereabouts are unknown. 

She is described as being 5ft 3, slim build with dark hair.  It is thought that she may be wearing a dark-coloured jacket.

Inspector Rachel Campbell from Melrose Police station said: "Nikitta has been missing for a number of hours now which is completely out of character.

“Her family and friends are understandably worried and are becoming increasingly concerned.

“We have a number of police resources out looking for Nikitta and I ask that if anyone has seen her or knows of her present whereabouts to contact police via 101 quoting incident number 0065 of 27 November 2023.”
