GALA Fairydean Rovers FC Community Trust are delighted to announce that the club’s Para/Disability Squad have secured another year’s support from the team’s main sponsor - Bruce Robertson Training.
Bruce Robertson Training work in partnership with like minded agencies to support the unemployed back into work and specialises in CSCS health and safety courses for the construction industry and have been the squad’s main sponsor since 2019.

The GFR Para/Disability Squad has provided football training, matches and other social activities for player with disabilities since 2016.
The squad, which contains players from across the Borders, train weekly at Netherdale and competes in the SFA organised PAN Disability League.
Chair of the Community Trust and Head Coach of the squad Graeme McIver said: “We are immensely grateful to Bruce Robertson Training for their continued and longstanding support of our Para/Disability football squad.

“Like all sporting organisations we face a challenge of covering the costs of travel, pitch hire, training kit, match strips and equipment without passing the full burden onto our players.
“Bruce’s sponsorship is one of the ways we can continue to provide a fantastic experience at a low cost to the participants.”
“We run the squad as a physical activity session, aimed at reducing social isolation for adults with a learning and physical disabilities.
“Whilst results in the national competitions in which we participate are important for developing squad cohesion, for the Community Trust results on the field are of a secondary importance to the pleasure and enjoyment our squad gets from their regular training sessions and other get togethers.”
