A Borders road is set to close for two weeks to facilitate drainage and verge works.
The B709 at Berrybush near Selkirk will close between 8.30am and 5pm from Monday December 4.

The alternative route is via B709, B7009, B7039, A708 and B709 to point of closure.
The closure was announced by Scottish Borders Council who said: “Where we're required to carry out planned maintenance on the road and bridge network, there may not always be enough space to allow a safe working area as well as allow vehicles through the works.

Where this is the case a road closure is the only appropriate solution to address both traffic and pedestrian management.
