THERE was plenty of tidings of comfort and joy at Asda in Galashiels today Sunday December 10 as shoppers were treated to a feast of popular Christmas Carols from the Town Band including the traditional favourites such as Jingle Bells, In the Bleak Midwinter, O Come All Ye Faithful, Deck the Halls, God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen and many more.
The Galashiels Town Band added some festive cheer for customers, many of whom could be seen singing along as they did their weekly shop.
And in addition to raising much money for the development band, the event gave performers a chance to rehearse for their Christmas concert which this year will be held at the MacArts Theatre next Friday December 15.
Tickets are going fast so if you want to get into the holiday spirit with a delightful performance by the talented band members, book now to avoid disappointment.
