A WOMAN was taken to hospital this afternoon following a crash on a Borders Road.
In addition, a man was issued with a fixed penalty ticket following the collision.
The crash took place on the A699 at Hillside Terrace, Selkirk around 11.30am.

The road was closed for nearly two hours to facilitate the recovery of the vehicles.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a crash involving two cars on the A699 at Hillside Terrace, Selkirk, around 11.30 on Saturday, 16 December, 2023.

“Emergency services attended and one woman was taken to hospital for treatment.
“One man was issued with a fixed penalty notice.
“The road was closed to allow for recovery and re-opened around 1.20pm.”
