A 26-YEAR-OLD man involved in a disturbance outside a flat in Selkirk has been ordered to carry out 90 hours of unpaid work at the town's sheriff court.
Marc Purves, formerly of Bannerfield Drive but now living in Broomhouse, Edinburgh, pleaded guilty to striking the window of a property in High Street, Selkirk, shouting and swearing, uttering offensive remarks and thenspitting and uttering threats inside a police van.
The court was told Purves had been seen walking barefooted outside the flat and demanding to be let in and when police arrived he was abusive towards officers.
