THE Yellow weather warning issued at the weekend which was due to affect the majority of the Scottish Borders today Wednesday December 27 has been amended.
Now only parts of the region are will be affected between 3am and 6pm.

Galashiels, Melrose, Jedburgh and Duns are no longer included in the area although Hawick and Peebles are

Residents are advised that heavy rain brings the potential for disruption to travel and a risk of flooding.
According to the MET Office, there is a slight chance of power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses

There is also a small chance that homes and businesses could be flooded, causing damage to some buildings
Where flooding occurs, there is a slight chance of delays or cancellations to train and bus services
Spray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures
There is a small chance that some communities will become cut off by flooded roads
There is a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life
