GALASHIELS Academy pupils enjoyed their annual dances before they started their festive break.

Depute headteacher Malcolm Changleng said: “The Galashiels Academy Christmas dances were a roaring success and a great way to conclude the autumn term as the school moves into the Christmas holidays.

“More than 180 attended the S1/S2 dance, 190 danced the night away at the S3/S4 soiree and the week concluded with 150 at the senior school dance.

“Each evening was filled with friendship, fun, good food and first class dancing – a fitting way to head into the holidays.”
