RESIDENTS were awoken by the sound of music as a special way to see in the new year.
As a time-honoured tradition St Ronan’s Silver Band filled Innerleithen with music, heralding in 2024.
The band followed a route around the town on both sides of the Leithen Water from 9am.
Along their route the band stopped at Mercer Court and St Ronan’s House where residents gathered to enjoy a short performance in the Bon Accord Lounge.
That afternoon the band made stops at the town’s pubs and clubs to entertain those out celebrating Ne’er Day.
