'EMERGENCY' works causing disruption on a Galashiels road are expected to be completed by the end of the day.
Temporary traffic lights are in place on Abbotsford Road to allow Scottish Power to fix a 'fault', according to the council.
The energy company said it was repairing street lighting.
A spokesperson for SP Energy Networks said: “The works to repair street lighting in the area should be complete by the end of today.
“We’ve been working closely with Scottish Borders Council to ensure the traffic management system is in place for as short a time as possible to minimise disruption.”
