STORM Isha caused widespread damage across the Borders with trees down, power outages, flooded fields and television reception cut.
At Lamancha, near West Linton, a parked car was crushed when a large tree fell across its roof and a branch smashed through the windscreen.
Scottish and Southern Electricity Network reported a top wind speed of 107mph on Sunday night and multiple homes cut off from electricity across Scotland.
There were power cuts across the Borders including in Dolphinton and Innerleithen and on Sunday night many people lost television reception and the mobile signal across Peeblesshire.
Kathryn Watt from Lamancha said: “My daughter Anna’s car is a write off as a tree fell on top of it and there’s damage to some buildings.
“Trees are down around Whim, in the square, which luckily missed the listed buildings, just off the A701.
“An electricity transformer has also been hit so there is no power either to us or Whim Hall nursing home.”
Andy Smith, Operations Director at SSEN Distribution, said: "I would like to thank customers for their patience on what has been a challenging day in the wake of a very severe storm.
“Our teams have been working hard to keep people connected.
“They’ve been switching the network, carrying out repairs, answering customers’ queries and offering help and support.
“I’d like to remind people they can call on our power cut helpline on 105 at any time for help, advice, and support.”
