FALLEN trees and flooding have closed roads in the Borders as Storm Jocelyn hits the region.
A yellow Met Office weather warning for wind is in place until 3pm on Wednesday (January 24) after it was extended.
According to Scottish Borders Council (SBC), there are a number of roads that have been affected by the storm.
The local authority said that the Peel road was closed due to fallen tree.
It said Winston Road, Galashiels, was shut for the same reason.
The council added that the A708 Yarrow Valley road and B7009 Ettrick Valley road were closed due to fallen trees, with work ongoing to clear the routes.
SBC said that property damage at Brougham Place in Hawick meant that the road was shut to both pedestrians and vehicles. Access to Trinity Gardens was also restricted and the bus stop suspended.
The council said that the B712 at Dawyck was closed due to flooding.
There is a risk of debris on all routes, according to the local authority.
