BACKGROUND reports have been ordered on a 20-year-old who admitted striking a man on the body with a knife to his injury.
Alfie MacLachlan also admitted to being in possession of a bladed article, namely a knife, during the incident in Wilson Drive, Hawick, on August 17.
Sheriff Peter Paterson said: “Given the nature of the offence I will need a report before any sentencing can take place.”
MacLachlan, of Torridon Avenue, Selkirk, had sentence deferred at Jedburgh Sheriff Court until February 26 for the production of a criminal justice social work report and a restriction of liberty order assessment.
