A PEEBLESSHIRE pilates class helped to raise vital funds for a local charity.
Gillian Wrigley, of The Health Rooms, hosted two pilates classes to help Tweed Togs.
And thanks to the generosity of Gillian and clients in the classes, £340 was raised for the charity.
A Tweed Togs spokesperson said: "Big cheers and huge thanks to Gillian Wrigley of The Health Rooms, Peebles.
"Gillian held two pilates classes to raise funds and donations for Tweed Togs."
Tweed Togs is a charity which acts as a clothing bank for children's clothing.
Local families in need of help can be referred to the service to be supplied with packs of underwear and socks, as well as preloved seasonal clothing like winter coats.
The charity reported, however, that demand for its services in recent months had increased "significantly".
"Gillian’s pilates supporters, in return for attending the class, donated loads of bags bursting with underwear and socks as well as raising £340 through Tweed Togs' JustGiving site," the spokesperson added. "Demand for this service has significantly increased over the past months, so this boost to our stock and funds will benefit over 50 children and their families."
For more information on the work done by Tweed Togs, visit the charity's website at: www.tweedtogs.org or find its page on Facebook.
And for those who are able to support Tweed Togs, donations can be made to the charity's JustGiving fundraising page, or making a purchase from its Amazon wishlist.
