A HAWICK woman involved in a bust-up with the police has been fined £200 at Selkirk Sheriff Court.
Natalie Elliot, 25, of Anderson Road, pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner during an early-morning disturbance.
The court heard how police officers came across her in the High Street, Hawick, and they tried to transport her home in a police vehicle but on arrival at the address she had no keys.
Prosecutor India McLean said: “She was taken to Hawick Police Station but she was shouting, swearing and kicking the cage and punching the walls in the van as well as making threats towards the officers.”
Defence lawyer Ross Dow said his client had medical problems which required a properly qualified assessment.
In addition to the fine a £10 victim surcharge was added.
