YOUNG performers in the Borders plan to show that Tuesday can be an exciting day.
Twenty young people from Borders Youth Theatre (BYT) will start the February break with a week of rehearsals of Alison Carr's Tuesday, before their final performances at the end of the week.
First performed in 2020 and 2021 as part of the Connections National Theatre Festival, the play explores friendship, sibling love, family, identity, grief, bullying, loneliness and responsibility.
A BYT spokesperson said: "Everyone knows, nothing decent happens on a Tuesday."
They added: "It [Tuesday] is lively and gripping, funny and sad. And a little bit sci-fi.
"It is a tricky play to stage, especially as the group will have only a week to meet the challenge.
"However, Borders Youth Theatre is well known for its exciting productions and this will be no exception, using the huge space at Borders showground in Kelso.
"Oli Bisset will lead the direction team, assisted by ex BYTers, Esmé Babineux and Lewis Teckkam."
Tuesday will take to the stage at the Borders Showground in Kelso on Friday, February 16 and Saturday, February 17 - with both performances starting at 7.30pm.
