A BORDERS music club is set to welcome an award-winning musician who is in "high demand".
Cohen Braithwaite-Kilcoyne will join the Rolling Hills Folk Club at Darnick Village Hall this week for his first ever solo gig in Scotland.
Although only in his early twenties, Cohen is a "virtuoso of Anglo concertina and melodeon" and has already made a name for himself, winning a range of awards and nominations - including the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards Horizon Award in 2018.
Cohen, a "powerful and commanding singer" is one of the latest names to join the list of young artists who have performed for the Rolling Hills Folk Club since its formation in 2006.
A Rolling Hills Folk Club spokesperson said: "The audience can expect traditional songs and tunes along with some self-penned material and a few surprises along the way, especially in his unbelievably clever management of his very special instruments.
"Cohen’s musical interests are truly eclectic and not confined to folk music, with Baroque music, ragtime, and Victorian popular music often included in his performances."
The concert will be held at Darnick Village Hall on Abbotsford Road on Friday, March 15.
Doors will open at 7.30pm for an 8pm start.
The concert is open to guests of all ages.
Tickets are £10 and under 18s can enter for free.
